At Humlebæk, about 40 km from Copenhagen, there is the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art with wide windows facing on the Øresund strait that seperates Denmark from Sweden. Museum has an impressive permanent collection and numerous exhibitions during the year. Øresund Bridge, planet’s longest cable-tied road and rail bridge connects the Danish capital Copenhagen and the Swedish city of Malmö.

It is worth it to spend an afternoon at Freetown Christiania, a 34 hectare neighbourhood founded in 1971, transforming an abandoned military base into a residential area with alternative and sustainable, innovative solutions; as well as the multicultural, vibrant Norrebro.

Another worthwhile visit before leaving Copenhagen is to the The National Gallery of Denmark – Statens Museum for Kunst that features more than 700 years of Western Art and cultural history.

Whilst at Malmö, Turning Torso by Caltrava is the neo-futurist residential skyscraper, Form Design Center and Bo01 City of Tomorrow Expo where multiple architectural solutions form an exciting sustainable urban environment.
