The tour will be guided by Alberto Ballardini (Habitech), John Boeker (SevenGroup) and with the participation of Lauren Yarmuth (YRG Sustainability).

Alberto Ballardini, serves as program manager for Habitech, the leading company for LEED and sustainability consulting in Italy. Habitech is a catalyst for the transformation of the Italian building and real estate market. Alberto had in international education, with a major in International Relations and Political Science. He is one of first Italian LEED APs and was the project manager of the two first LEED EB:O&M Italian projects. He is LEED instructor and gave workshops, seminars and presentations on the costs and benefits of green buildings in Italy, and other EU countries. He played a crucial role in the start-up of GBC Italia, was part of the committees in the development of LEED Italia and is now coordinator of the LEED EB:O&M. He lives with his partner and five young kids in Arco, the California of Northern Italy.

John Boecker
, AIA, serves as a founding partner in 7group, an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary consulting firm focused on green development that collaborates with developers, architects, engineers, builders, government, and building owners engaged in green projects. As an architect, his practice has focused exclusively on green buildings since 1996, including his designs for two of the first 15 projects nationwide to achieve LEED Certification.  He also has participated as a team member on over 45 LEED certified projects to date and another 50 LEED Registered projects.  He Co-Chairs the USGBC International Task Force, served on the LEED Steering Committee from 2002-2009, served as LEED Faculty from 2001-2008, and Chaired the USGBC’s national LEED Curriculum Committee from 2002-2007.

8.30 Meet in hotel lobby for walk to boat departure (with luggage).
9.00 Leave Venice by motorboat and tour upstream Brenta River admiring and visiting Palladian villas.
12.30 Arrival in Oriago and travel to Mira for lunch (included).
14.30 Bus to Padova.
15.00 – 16.00 Stop in Padova to Visit Schueco Italia HQ.
16.00 – 18.30 Bus to Lake Ledro.
18.30 Arrive at Hotel in Val di Ledro.
19.30-22.00 Slow Food dinner (included) and meeting representatives of local green initiatives and companies.
Stay at Hotel Elda (Eco-hotel) in Riva del Garda.
