If you are a lover of art- and design, do not hesitate and join our La Biennale tour in Venice! La Biennale is a contemporary visual art exhibition organised by the Biennale Foundation in Venice. The exhibition has been around for quite a while, seeing as it was founded by the Venetian City Council in 1895. As the name indicates, the exhibition is held biennially (every other odd year.) With Viaggi di Architettura’s La Biennale in Venice tour, you visit the international architecture exhibition, accompanied by a specialised guide. With our guide being an expert in architecture from the 15th century.
La Biennale aims to inspire people to think about the environment, our home as well as other cultures. The different venues (i.e. pavilions) represent different countries and their architectural needs. La Biennale area is partially located in old warehouses, close to the water, which makes for a great atmosphere! The exhibition’s main focus may be contemporary art, but it also includes events for architecture, cinema, dance, music and theatre.
With Viaggi di Architettura you will discover all the different venues with our specialised guided tour.
This year, La Biennale organises the 57th International Art Exhibition, with the name of VIVA ARTE VIVA, which is curated by Christine Macel. The Exhibition will open its doors to the public on May 13th and will last until November 26th, 2017, at both the Arsenale and Giardini venues. On top of that, the Exhibition will include 85 National Participants in the Pavilions in the aforementioned venues as well as in the city centre of Venice. Furthermore, Collateral Events are expected who will present their exhibitions and initiatives during the 57th Exhibition. In the morning we plan to visit the Corderie dell’Arsenale and in the afternoon, the guide continues at the Giardini della Biennale. We will also take a look at the different pavilions situated around Venice. For information, reservations or special requests on routes dedicated to the city of Venice by Viaggi di Architettura.
