We currently hold two tours combining Architecture and Photography guided by professional photographers. These tours are a novel and stimulating way of discovering extraordinarily photogenic but rather hidden areas around Italy.
Days are spent shooting and images are examined together over drinks before or after dinner. Tours can be arranged for anything from one afternoon to one week. We recommend a maximum of 15 participants. We offer the possibility of touring by motorbike.

The first is way down south, in the instep of the boot in the Basilicata Region with the contemporary photographer Gerardo Fornataro and Veejay Luca Acito. Apart from the Sassi, listed by UNESCO since 1992 and used as a set for Mel Gibson’s The Passion, the tour explores numerous other areas used as natural sets for adverts and films: Craco – the ghost town; the ancient Arab quarter in Tursi known as the Rabatana; the Calanchi- very white stone formations forming an almost lunar landscape and the picturesque towns of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa literally clinging to the rock face of the Dolomiti Lucane mountain range.

The second is in northern Italy guided by the international freelance architecture photographer Saverio Lombardi Vallauri who accompanies groups to several ‘non spaces’ like former industrial sites and factories in disuse.
