Meet with group leader at airport and departure for Tokyo with scheduled flight, meals and overnight aboard (12 hours flight, + 7 hours in summer, + 8 hours in winter).


Day 2

Arrive in Tokyo. Change of Euros into Yens and then transfer by private coach to hotel CENTURY HYATT TOKYO, 2-7-2 NISHI SHINJUKU TOKYO, JP 160-0023. In the afternoon, meet with local guide at hotel who will expose program to guests and departure for a city tour: Tokyo City Hall (Kenzo Tange, 1991), Nishi-Shinjyuku and information centre inside, Kabuki-cho Building Offices (Richard Rogers, 1993), Kabuki-cho, Shinjyuku-ku, Horyuji Gallery, Taito-ku (Yoshio Taniguchi, 1999), Children's Library (extension Tadao Ando, 2002), Ueno Park, National Museum of Western Art at Ueno Park, Taito-ku (Le Corbusier / Kunio Maekawa, Junzo Sakakura and Takamasa Yoshizaka, 1959). Free time to visit the building inside, the exhibition as well as the park. Return on own to hotel, free time for dinner.


Day 3

Meet with local guide in the morning and departure for a tour by private coach: visit to Koishikawa Korakuen Park and free time. Transfer to the area of Chofu-shi: Tokyo Art Museum, visit on own to building and exhibition, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum, Koganei-shi. Return to hotel and free time for dinner.


Day 4

Breakfast at hotel and meet  with guide. Departure by private coach for a tour dedicated to the contemporanean architecture: Tod's Omotesando Building (Toyo Ito & Associates), United Nations University (Kenzo Tange, 1992), Collection building, Cassina Showroom (Tadao Ando), Prada Aoyama Epicentre (Herzog & de Meuron, 2003), Ambiente Showroom (Aldo Rossi, 1991), National Art Centre (Kisho Kurokawa & Associates), Roppongi (2006), Mori Towers (Cesar Pelli, 2001). Free time for lunch and then visit to the Mori Art Centre (Gluckman / Mayner Architects), Dentsu Shin Onsya Office Tower (Jean Nouvel, 2002), Caretta Shiodome (Jon Jerde, 2002), NTV Nittele Tower (Richard Rogers, 2003). Return to hotel, dinner on own and overnight stay.

Breakfast at hotel. Visits will focus on the buildings in the area of Ginza: Sony Building (Yoshiboby Ashihara, 1966), Shizuoka Press and Broadcasting Centre (Kenzo Tange, 1967), Nagakin Capsule Tower Building (Kisho Kurkawa, 1972), Maison Hermes (Renzo Piano Building Workshop, 2002), Tokyo International Forum (Rafael Vinoly, 1996). Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the following buildings: Ochanomizu Square Building (Arata Isozaki, 1987), Lighting Theatre / IZM (Peter Eisenman, 1990), Edo-Tokyo Museum (Kikutake Architect and Associates, 1992), Super Dry Hall (Philippe Starck, M. Nozawa, Asahi, 1989). Free time to visit the 'Akihabara' Electric Town and return to hotel. Transfer to Park Hyatt and dinner at the "New York Grill", renowned restaurant on the 52nd floor. Return on own to hotel and overnight stay.


Day 6

Breakfast at hotel. Free time and transfer to airport. Departure for Italy with direct flight.
