Day 1
Meet with guide at Rome's Fiumicino Airport and departure with Alitalia flight AZ 0746. Arrive in Dubai in the evening (3 hours ahead), transfer to the Sheraton Dubai Creek and Towers and check in. Dinner on own and free time.
Day 2
Breakfast at hotel and departure with the young architect Marco Sacchi for a tour of the newest architecture and building sites: Emirates Tower 1 and 2, and Burj Dubai (SOM), still under construction. With its 800 meters height, it will be the world's highest skyscraper and will be home to a hotel by Giorgio Armani. Guided walk through the new area around Burj, already open with various operational places and hotels and through the Business Bay area, currently in urbanization process. Guided visit of the building site of what will be the world's largest shopping centre. Move on to Burj al Arab. Lunch buffet at the renowned Al Muntaha Restaurant, located on the 27th floor of the 7* boutique hotel. Transfer to hotel and free time. In the afternoon, departure for the new complex Medinat Jumeira and walk along the canal banks. Dinner on own in the area. Return on own to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3
Breakfast buffet at hotel and transfer by bus to the Jumeirah area passing through Sheikh Zayed street, the artificial archipelago La Palma, as well as other complexes in the area. Lunch on own, along the docks of Dubai Marina & Jumeirah beach (W.S. Atkins and Partners). Return to hotel and free time. Departure for the desert, for the luxury resort Bab al Shams (45 minutes from the centre). Dinner based on typical local dishes at the Al Hadheerah desert Restaurant, an open-air arabic restaurant, offering lively entertainment such as belly dancers, henna painters, camel and horse rides, a falcon display.... Beverages are not included. Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4
Transfer by private coach to the Jumeirah Mosque and visit on own of the structure and then on of the Showroom Nakheel, one of the biggest Developers of Dubai, responsible for Jumeirah Palm Island I and II (palm leaf-shaped artificial islands) and for The World (a world map-like artificial island), as well as for many other huge projects. In the afternoon, free time to visit the luxury shopping centre (the world's 5th largest mall), also home to the so-called Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. Free time for shopping: tour through the most modern shopping centres, offering an exclusive range of electronic products and high fashion. Return on own to hotel. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
- Dubai Marina
Breakfast at hotel, free time. Check-out by 12:00 pm. For optional visits, the tour leader will explain the various possibilities and will book on request, on the spot. Transfer to airport for outbound Alitalia flight.
